Ko wai matou? About Tairawhiti REAP

Tairawhiti REAP (Rural Education Activities Programme) has been in existence for more than 27 years and is one of 13 other REAPS established in Aotearoa New Zealand. Our core contracts are funded through the Ministry of Education and Tertiary Education Commission to meet national education priorities and principles. Learning opportunities are provided through early childhood to primary and secondary schools and communities across the Wairoa District and Gisborne District Council Local Authorities.  We have offices in Wharekahika – Hicks Bay (Ngāti Porou and East Coast), Gisborne (Turanga and Gisborne), and Wairoa (Kahungunu ki Te Wairoa).

Our Mission is “Being Responsive and Relevant to Rural Communities in the Tairawhiti.”
